RBC expands agent lender client base

RBC Investor and Treasury Services (I&TS) has been appointed by Monyx to provide securities lending and other asset management services to its UCITS SICAV umbrella.

RBC I&TS, part of Royal Bank of Canada, will also offer custody, fund administration, transfer agency, foreign exchange services to the Swedish asset manager, which services Swedish occupational pension system assets.

Maria Schäder, CEO of Monyx Asset Management AB, commented: “We chose RBC given the strength of its credit ratings, reputation and product offering. We also felt that their commitment to servicing the Nordic region and willingness to tailor solutions to our requirements made for a good fit.”

Richard Street, head of Europe and the Middle East global client coverage for RBC I&TS, added: “We have an excellent track record of servicing the unique needs of Nordic clients and continue to grow our UCITS market share of clients based in the region.”

RBC I&TS was also appointed as custodian for Aviva Canada corporate treasury assets in early November to provide securities lending and custody services.
